Ingredients
Method
- In a small saucepan, combine water, brown sugar, and all the spices.
- Add the strip of orange peel.
- Bring to a low simmer and cook 5 - 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Let steep for 10 minutes, then strain into a clean glass jar or bottle.
Notes
Serving:
Stir in 1 - 2 tablespoons into coffee or lattes for a warm, lightly spiced flavor.
Storage:
Refrigerate up to 3 weeks. Shake before each use.
