Sourdough Discard Crackers

This recipe turns sourdough discard into golden, crispy crackers with just butter and salt. Perfect for snacking or sharing.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • ¼ tsp sea salt

Method
 

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. In a bowl, mix together starter, melted butter, and sea salt
  4. Pour on to baking sheet and spread into a thin layer (about 1/16" thickness)
  5. Sprinkle on optional seasonings or herbs
  6. Bake for 10 minutes and then remove from oven. Cut into squares with dough wheel or dough cutter
  7. Return to oven and bake for additional 10 to 15 minutes or until golden and crisp
  8. Cool completely and store in airtight container at room temperature for up to a week
