Method
Cook the sausage and veggies
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the maple sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease if needed.
Prepare the egg mixture
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Assemble the casserole
- Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
- Add the cubed bread, cooked sausage, and shredded cheese. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top.
- Gently press everything down so the bread soaks up the liquid.
Bake
- Bake at 350°F for 40–45 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
- Let it sit for about 5–10 minutes before slicing.
