Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Combine brown sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Simmer gently for 5 to 7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Remove cinnamon sticks and transfer syrup to a jar.

Notes

  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks
