Method
- Combine brown sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Simmer gently for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Remove cinnamon sticks and transfer syrup to a jar.
