Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups apples peeled & sliced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp chai spice mix
  • pinch of salt
Crumble topping
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • ¾ cup flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup butter cold & cubed
  • ½ cup chopped nuts optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F
  2. Butter a 9x9 baking dish or 10 inch cast iron skillet.
  3. Toss apples with sugar, flour, lemon juice, chai spice, and salt. Place in dish.

  4. Mix topping ingredients, cut in butter until crumbly.

  5. Sprinkle crumble topping over apples.

  6. Bake 40-45 minutes until golden.

Notes

If you double the recipe, go for a 9x13 inch dish and bake for 50-55 minutes.
